Woah. I just logged on to LJ for the first time in like 3 months and happen to catch this video on my friends page. (Yes, ONTD is on my friends page!) It’s a clip of Angels and Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge stating the following during a June 2006 show:
I do not want to be another bullsh*t pop band, with some bullsh*t pop songs, while your driving your f*cking bullsh*t car and sing along to it like you’re a 14 year old girl…And if you are 14-years-old here, thank you for coming.
Oooh he’s so tough, really sticking it to middle school girls and the “bullsh-t” they like to sing along to. Give me a break.

are you proud of being scene? you do know that scene is the lowest common denominator in the music fan food chain…even emo is before you (though you guys are one and the same)…you have a picture of Pete Wentz who repeatedly makes fun of scene kids and even makes fun of the scene itself (This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race is explaining that all these ’scene bands’ are going for a moneygrab before this fad dies out.
Pete makes fun of you guys and he’s like the Godfather of scene. Same with Ryan from Panic!. Have you listenend to I Constantly Thank God For Esteban. Another brutal slice into how fake these scene and emo kids are.
I guess I could some this up by saying “you’re a joke, and I know you’re 15 now and think you’re cool” but you’ll grow up and at 25ish (hopefully for you) and you’ll be like “wow, I was such a fag, I listened to Fall Out Boy thinking they were scene and not pop-rock.

Mark Hoppus is now the coolest person ever…but I somehow can’t follow +44 either…it’s not that good. BLink-182 was the best Band ever, Blink-182 selftitled is the best album e´ver and Always from Blink-182 is the best song ever. Fuck that fucken Delonge who dosen’t have a clue about melody. Mark Hoppus was always the genious in BLink-182…And it turned out Tom was always the biggest asshole ever!!!!!!!!

We know he meant that, 14 year old girls sing along to blink, i heard 16 yr old girls singing whats my age again on the bus. Blink WAS a pop-punk band, and he clearly said he didn’t want to be in a Bullshit pop punk band. THATS WHY HE LEFT, because he didn’t want to be in Blink 182 because he thinks its SHIT and he thought he could do something BETTER. Angels and airwaves sucks, i love the slower, dynamic and melodic songs that +44 have made and a few of their fast rock songs

heres a suggestion why dont any of you let Tom defend himself.i personally loved blink and i wished it last forever;)but…nothing lasts forever.T.T.anyways angels and airwaves wise.pretty good band id have to say.yep.but to insult us fourteen yearolds like that is just wrong,and its sad to say but my respect for him has gone down a bit.anyways A7X 4 life!(a7x means avenged sevenfold)
