Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance Forced to Drop of World Tour…to Return in Australia
According to MTV News, on Jan 11th, My Chem guitarist Frank Iero had to fly back to the US from their tour date in Japan as a result of “a sudden attack of illness”. Drive By guitarist Todd Price will fill in Frank’s spot in the meantime.
According to the Unleash the Bats LJ, Frank will return to perform with the band for their Sydney, Australia tour date at Olympic Park Showgrounds on January 25th.
Here’s to a speedy and long-lasting recovery for Frank. And thanks to Eleni for the head’s up.

Man, dodgy he didn’t show in Melbourne last night. Me and my friends all had seating tickets right up the back on the right, so we couldn’t see if the guy playing guitar was Frank or Todd. And then we figured it was Todd ’cause he barely moved around. and then Gerard said it was Todd.

it was something in relation to him having recently had his wisdom teeth out and did not have a proper break afterwards and apparently they were waiting at the airport to fly to oz and frank was like bleeding from the gums and his face was hell swollen so they relieved him from playing. much to our disappointment : (
oh and yeah they are meant to be returning in nov but it was tbc.. i’m thinking maybe they are coming for taste of chaos?
