I am ashamed to say I recently fell for an Online Paid Surveys Scam. I had been short off cash for a while when I came across a website offering a simple way to make money from home. The website had user testimonials saying that they received surveys that paid out hundreds of dollars a time. The website had a join up fee of $20, for which you got information about mystery shopper jobs and how to dine out for free on top. It was a bargain I thought! After I paid the money, I heard nothing again. I suddenly realised that I’d been a bit stupid and quickly typed the company name into Google. Too late, I found out I’d been caught out by a very well known scam.
Luckily it was only $20, but as a word of warning- you should never pay out to join an online survey panel, as the legitimate ones let you register for free.
