Is Gerard Way Engaged to Eliza Cuts?
According to NME...he is. Rumor has it the lucky lady is Eliza Cuts, My Chemical Romance’s hair stylist:
Gerard Way has confirmed that he has got engaged.
The My Chemical Romance frontman sparked off speculation when he started wearing a ring on his left hand.
However speaking today (June 1) at Rock Am Ring festival in Germany, the singer revealed the ring’s significance.
NME.COM’s Krissi Murison spoke to the band for MTV2 and they spilled the beans.
Initially the band closed ranks, claiming it was a friendship ring before Way came out with the truth.
“They’re lying,” he declared. “The truth is I’m engaged and I’m really excited about it.”
To see the interview tune into MTV2 for their Rock Am Ring week, which starts from 7.30pm tomorrow (June 2), including a live performance from My Chemical Romance at 8pm on Sunday (3).

This video isn’t as great as The Black Parade, but whatevs. It’s by Marc Webb, who has directed a shizton of amazing videos for My Chem as well as one of my most favorite videos of the last few years, “Move Along” by the All-American Rejects.

Dear Mr. Gerard Way,
Can you please, for the love of god stop looking so hot all the time? It’s making me crazy. I just re-watched your video for “I Don’t Love You” (UK single only apparently. WAH!) and your eyes still manage to look super hot and piercing even though the whole video is shot in black and white.
HOW DO YOU DO IT?
If I had to create an emoticon that looked like you, I’d draw a white circle face and a worried looking little face. Kinda like this:
Even though you look like you’re making a constipated/pained face for about 3/4ths of the video you still look mighty fine to me.

Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance Forced to Drop of World Tour…to Return in Australia
According to MTV News, on Jan 11th, My Chem guitarist Frank Iero had to fly back to the US from their tour date in Japan as a result of “a sudden attack of illness”. Drive By guitarist Todd Price will fill in Frank’s spot in the meantime.
According to the Unleash the Bats LJ, Frank will return to perform with the band for their Sydney, Australia tour date at Olympic Park Showgrounds on January 25th.
Here’s to a speedy and long-lasting recovery for Frank. And thanks to Eleni for the head’s up.
Hairwatch 2007: Lies, Lies, and More Lies. Gerard Way Goes Back to His Roots
Woah! The first post of 2007 is a Hairwatch post. Remember when My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way was all “I’m going to cut off all my hair and dye it blond for The Black Parade album because I want to be more like “The Patient”? And then remember when he showed up to the MTV “Stay Gold” New Year’s Eve performance with newly-dyed BLACK hair? Uh huh.
Discuss the change back to black. Better? Worse? Approving of the darker color, but still miss the length of yesteryear? Was the switch to dark a result of peroxide taking its toll on the health of Gerard’s mop? Or was it a simple maintenance issue?
Anyone else feel confused and a little betrayed? Gerard, stop toying with my emotions! Anyone else think I’m too emotionally invested in Gerard Way’s hair?

My Chemical Romance will be ringing in the new year in New York at a free special performance of three songs from The Black Parade. They will be performing in Times Square at 11:15pm tonight, New Year’s Eve, so make sure to get there early to get a good spot.
If you can’t make it, you can catch one song from the show live on MTV at 11:45pm that night. And then you can catch them from that performance on Tuesday, January 2nd, on Jimmy Kimmel, which airs on ABC.

Finally! We get to see the video that nearly cost Bob a leg. It gets totally intense in the last few moments of the video where you can see Bob mouthing “I can’t take this any more!” and he runs away from his drumkit, pulling up his pantleg to check to see if his skin has totally melted off. Gerard Way looks creepy sexy. Woah! My Chemical Romance take it to the next level.:
