Gym Class Hereos Video for “Clothes Off”

Travie and co get a little help via Patrick Stump’s vocals and Pete Wentz as Elvis:

Video of AK-47 Opening

Pete Wentz’s self-professed “dive bar”.

WATCH THE VIDEO

Pete Wentz’s AK-47, Already A Homing Device for Fangirls

Today I walked by the now-open Angels and Kings (aka — AK-47, aka — Pete Wentz’s new bar) and I was shocked (?) to actually see a herd of young female girls camped outside, sitting on the stoop in front of the bar decked out in fake BAPE hoodies and studded belts. The weird thing really was the presence of HUGEnormous black-suit bouncers and the presence of a red velvet rope. Whatever happened to it just being a place for all the freaks and geeks? Oh well, I’ll have to check it out later on in the week.

Essential Guide to All Things Emo, Everybody Hurts, Now Out!

Do you like eyeliner, feeling sad, looking at your feet, wearing hoodies, and Manic Panic? Do you adore AAR, FOB, TAI…, GCH, P!@TD, or AFI? Do you have any idea what any of those abbreviations mean? If so, you HAVE to check out Leslie Simon (managing editor of Alternative Press) and Trevor Kelley’s new book, Everybody Hurts, a light-humored take on the emo culture.

I had a chance to read it a few months ago and it is HIL-arious! There’s this one illustration of Pete Wentz wearing a Clandestine Industries sweatshirt, giving the diamond sign. That alone is worth the $12-14 sticker price. Trust me, you will loves.

Oh! And if you be in NYC on May 3rd, stop by the Everybody Hurts party at the Annex. Justin Pierre from Motion City Soundtrack, Kenny Vasoli from the Starting Line, and Zolof The Rock ‘N’ Roll Destroyer are all playing.

Brendon Urie = Brandon Flowers?

Sorry I’ve been lagging on the updates but my free time is down to zilch lately.

Here are some interesting photos of Brendon Urie looking a helluva lot like Brandon Flowers with his skinny blazer, skinny tie, and big ol’ dork glasses (Thanks to Rebecca):

Swimsuits! at the Disco aka Why Is Ryan Ross Not In Briefs?

Have you SEEN the photos of the Panic! at the Disco boys with model Julie Henderson for the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated? Have you SEEN how ridiculous they are?

I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to make the swimsuit issue the “music” issue… they have a whole series of seemingly random pairings of musical artists with random model chicks in bikinis. Now if they had the boys in swimsuits as well, now THAT’s a feature I can get behind. Why is it, of all the musicians they pegged for this swimsuit issue it is ONLY the ONE female artists they picked (Beyonce) that appears in a skimpy swimsuit. The closest the male musicians come to being in briefs is Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, but how is that fair? You couldn’t PAY that man enough to actually wear a shirt that fully clothed his torso. Oh and Jimmy Buffet in a surfer body suit does NOT count. (Nor should it be allowed.)

I CALL BULLCRAP AND SEXISM ON SPORTS ILLUSTRATED.

Pete Wentz Gives a 10 out of 10 to Something that Would Make Your Mom Blush

My friend Peter (not Wentz) sent me a link to this interview that Vice did with Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz. No big deal, right? Well…other than the fact that he gives a certain form of love-making a “10″ out of 10… and other than the fact that he admits to drinking and taking downers at the same time… and other than the fact he one time he rubbed himself–well…raw. So other than those things AND the fact that for some reason Vice has removed the entry with the interview from their blog archives for February, it’s a pretty run-of-the-mill interview.

(Un?)Luckily for you, the post is still available in its original spot. Or you could click on the image below to see the full interview as it appeared on the Vice site.

PS- I have no idea if this interview is real or not…

Two Quick Things about Pete Wentz and FOB

It’s SO cold in New York right now. I’m gonna make this snappy so I can jump under my warm bed covers:

1. MTV announced today Pete Wentz is the “guest music supervisor” of the Monday, February 12th episode of “The Hills”, which airs on MTV at 10:00 pm ET/PT. According to the press release: “Immediately following the show, fans can check out MTV.com to see Pete Wentz discuss the bands he chose, why he made the choices and the creative process of music supervising the episode.”

Yes Pete, can you tell us WHY in the world you would have only picked songs by The Hush Sound, Gym Class Heroes, Corba Starship, and Panic! at the Disco? It wouldn’t have anything to do with the fact that they’re on your label, now would it? I kid…I kid…

2. As you probably already are aware, Fall Out Boy are headlining the Honda Civic Tour. As part of the promotion of the concert series, Honda is running a contest to win a customized Honda Civic Hybrid. Check out the promo video on SPIN.com. The sweepstakes opens on Feb 10th on the Honda Civic site.
